Eugenio Li Volsi was born in Catania in 1969. He attends numerous professional photography workshops throughout Italy and abroad and his commitment is immediately rewarded by numerous prizes and awards. In 2014 he founded the Associazione Fotografi Siciliani, participated in the FEP Competition European Professional Photographer of the Year Awards by winning his first "Bronze Award" for the Wedding category and in the same year obtained the important qualification of QEP - Qualified European Photographer, always in the category of marriage. In 2016 he began to collaborate with Confartigianato, which appointed him as one of its representatives to FEP, the European Federation of Professional Photographers. From that moment on, he became officially the judge for both the QEP and MQEP qualifications and for the international competitions organized by the FEP. In 2018 he received the appointment as International Judge of the IPPA (Irish Professional Photographers Association) and Judge for the FETA - FEP Emerging Talent Award and was elected among the 12 members of the Executive Council of the FEP. For him photography is a story: telling with light. Nothing can be left to chance and improvisation. The technique is essential, but it must be combined with creativity, sensitivity and intuition. The goal of his work is to look to the future and to innovation without forgetting that the photographer is, however, an artisan of the image: it is necessary to improve and innovate without losing the artisan and creative sense of his work.
